On Wednesday and Thursday of Week 3, the amazing children and teachers at ABPS planted hundreds of veggies and plants for School Tree Day. The children worked together to plant, water, weed and mulch and the ABPS spirit shone through. The areas we targeted are looking revitalised and I look forward to seeing them grow into the future. Now comes the task for our little environmental enthusiasts (Garden Club) to love, care and protect our new gardens.
Usually, we invite families to lend a hand and be part of these events, unfortunately we are restricted in that area for the safety of all community members. As soon as restrictions ease and it is safe to have additional people in to help our gardening clubs, I will let the community know. In the meantime, I put together a video of images to give you an insight into the day. You can find it on our school website.
I have to say a HUGE thank you to Bunnings at Erina North and Brian Hilton for donating many plants and veggies. I would also like to thank the amazing teachers and children for all of their support and hard work.
