Library

Students are enjoying our newly refurbished library made possible by the generous support of our P&C and a community donation from the Avoca Beach Chamber of Commerce. 

All classes attend a weekly library session. Students enjoy a read aloud and are encouraged to borrow during odd weeks. They are taught how to navigate the library and utilise the online catalogue to find suitable books to borrow. During even weeks, the lesson focus is on digital literacy and STEM. Technology instruction during these lessons covers a range of applications and technologies within an inquiry framework. 

The library is open recreationally during 1st half lunch Monday to Thursday. During this time students may borrow, use the library space to meet with friends, or use the computer lab to complete projects or play games.
