Rubgy League Classic Shield - Avoca Beach through to the next round.

Congratulations to our Avoca Beach Rugby League team.

On Friday 17^thMay 2013, our school Rugby League team travelled to Woy Woy to compete in the Classic Shield. Our round one game was against Terrigal and the boys started the day strong winning 42-0. In round two we came up against Empire Bay who played hard. Our boys held onto a narrow lead in the final minutes of the game and won 20-12. This put us in the grand final for the day against a big and powerful Woy Woy South. With very little time to rest between rounds, it was our toughest match yet. Our boys dug deep and came out on top 24-12.

A big thank you to all of the parents who transported players and supported us on the day. Congratulations boys on a mighty effort and some outstanding teamwork! We are now looking forward to our round four match in Sydney later in the term (dates and details TBA).
