Avoca Beach Public School SRC members attended the Young Leaders Day 2013.
Our SRC members Holly Craig, Monique Kensell, Zac Paterson, Eden McQueen, Kate Rodgers, Willa Harvey, Jordan Butler and Jayden Duck, together with our Principal Mrs Crowe, attended the Young Leaders Day at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Monday 25th March 2013.
The National Young Leaders Day is an annual event founded in 1997 to develop strong leadership values amongst young Australians. Our school leaders joined thousands of primary school leaders in developing their understanding of leadership roles and responsibilities through listening to guest speakers who are leaders in the fields of media, sport, politics and the arts. Multimedia presentations and interactive learning opportunities enhanced the students' capabilities to lead themselves and others. Our SRC members thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity and were outstanding representatives of our school.
