Congratulations to all the students who participated in the cross country, no matter if you were first or last it is great to see how much effort you all put into the race. If you completed the race I hope you will be thrilled with yourself. I'm sure that if you didn't finish the race it does not matter because you were brave enough to start the race and I'm sure you will know what you will be up for next time.
As house captains we are absolutely thrilled with how well our house and all the other houses did cheering on their team mates and congratulating the competitors they beat and didn't beat. Sportsmanship was better than we have ever seen so we hope that whoever reads this will know how well they did and once the winning house gets called out the children of the other houses will be happy knowing their house did their best.
We know that everyone is excited for the children and we don't blame you, but you can't forget those who didn't compete, those who got up early to set the course. Teachers don't always get the applause or thankful words that they need. I hope that all the teachers know how well they did and how good they are at it, so next time you see them give them a wave, or a hi, or just a smile will be great.
If you are not sure if your child has made it through to Zone Cross Country, 1st - 6th go through and 7th and 8th are reserve. Information will be given to you in the next few days.
