On the 16th March Avoca Beach played Terrigal. Avoca lost the toss and batted. This worked in their favour with an excellent batting display by Broc Hardy and Harry Meyn. Both boys retired with 40 and 42 respectively. With 136 runs to chase things looked grim for Terrigal. They got off to a good start but later had 4 wickets for 28. Harry Meyn bowled well taking 3 wickets. Terrigal were all out for 61. Thanks to the parents and grandparents for providing transport and to Penny who scored.
They now progress to Round 3 of the Brian Taber Shield State Knockout.
