What a busy term it's been for Avoca Beach P and C!
Here's a highlight of our activities this term:
- Our annual school fair in August was a huge success, the weather was glorious, the crowd came and we raised more funds than ever before almost $37,000. Fantastic!
- Our Father's Day stall was at the beginning of September and raised a further $2000.
- Canteen Renovations will start these upcoming school holidays, we have been able to purchase 2 new ovens, a new fridge and a new dishwasher and thanks to Taylor Made Solutions we will get new work top benches and sinks. The school is also supporting these renovations and giving the canteen a fresh coat of paint and new vinyl flooring that will be completed in the Christmas school holidays
- We submitted a grant to our local government to help fund new playground surfaces for the infant play area, this work will start soon, fingers crossed we will be successful and can support the school in completing the works sooner rather than later
- We have formed a Traffic Management committee and are in the initial stages of working with local government, local schools and professionals to address some of our parking and traffic issues at or school
We welcome our new principal Ross Hallaways and look forward to working with him in the future. All are welcome to join our P and C, it's a great team of parents working to build a greater school for our community.
