Six students from our school participated in a public speaking competition held at Brisbania Public School on Thursday 14 August. Each speaker presented a prepared speech on the topic of their choice. Stage 1 student Leila George spoke about her holiday to Fiji and Natasha Ireland presented interesting ideas to consider about screen times. Stage 2 student Emma Priestley spoke passionately about Orangutans and Belinda Dalton made us question whether dragons were real or a myth. Our final speakers from Stage 3 were Olivia Scollon who informed and entertained the audience about hiccups and Lily Thomson who gave a thought provoking speech on refugees.
Congratulations to all of these students who spoke with such confidence, expression and engaging content.
