What's happening in Kinder?

Term 3 2018

Once a fortnight Kindergarten get together with their Year 6 buddy where they have a chance to participate in fun and engaging learning activities together.

This term we are focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities and the students have already participated in lessons where they made paper planes and bunnycopters! The students had to design and create a paper plane, test it out and then modify it before we held a competition between all of Kindergarten and their Year 6 buddies.

This term there is also a focus on dance, sport activities and playing a range of games. It is a great opportunity for our Kindergarten students to interact with their buddy and form wonderful friendships.

Our Kindergarten classes had the opportunity to begin using robotics in class last term. The robotics we use are called Blue-Bots and Kindergarten are learning how to code in order for their robot to follow a two-step instruction.

The K-2 Musical performance will be held in Week 8 this term.

Kindergarten are beginning to learn their scripts, songs and dances and further information about performances and costumes will be provided early in Term 3.
